How to Figure the General Service Three Phase Rate

Base Rate

Customer Charge:                   $25.70
Energy Charge:
  The First 2000 KWH           $0.08062
  The Next 3000 KWH           $0.07469
  The Next 5000 KWH           $0.06937
  All Above 10,000 KWH       $0.06260

Example

Suppose you used 14000 KWH.

  1. Your bill would start with the $25.70 customer charge.
  2. Your first 2000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.08062, which would be $161.24.
  3. Your next 3000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.07469, which would be $224.07.
  4. Your next 5000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.06937, which would be $346.85.
  5. All above 10,000 KWH would be muliplied by $0.06260, which would be $250.40
  6. You base cost would be the total of these charges plus sales tax.

Tracker
