Who I Call to Report my Outage
Call 648-6484 to report an outage at your location. If the auto-attendent answers the call and the system does not recognize your number please leave a detailed message with your address and name. This information will speed the restoration time of your outage.

What Happens when I report an Outage
Anderson Municipal Light & Power's outage management system logs that report and begins predicting the cause or the main location of the outage. This prediction process allows our dispatchers to manage the outage more efficiently. As the dispatchers work the outage the auto-attendent will update the status of the outage for our customers so they are able to if a crew has been assign yet to the outage, if crews are on-site working the outage, etc.

What are AML&P's Policies for Reducing Power Outages
The most important policy we carry out as your provider of electricity is trimming trees. We have seen outages decrease dramatically with the trimming of trees. AML&P is also constantly evaluating the entire system to assure the qualty of the electrical facilities.
