When the Power Goes Out

Anderson Municipal Light & Power's objective during a power outage to is to restore your power in the most efficient manner possible. But safety is our top priority in the restoration of your power. When your power goes out Anderson Municipal Light & Power works 24 hours a day to get your lights back on.

Safety:
Here are some safety tips and steps to help your power to be restored as fast as possible:
  1. Have a flashlight, portable radio, and extra batteries
  2. Carefully check circuit breakers or fuses in the home or business. If this fails to restore your power check to see if your neighbors have power
  3. Call our Outage Reporting Hotline (765)648-6484
  4. Stay away from downed power lines. Treat all lines as being energized. DO NOT assume the line is not energized
