How to Figure the Large Power Rate
Base Rate
Maximum Load Charge:
$10.40 per KVA
Energy Charge:
Minimum is the Maximum Load Charge $0.016540 per KWH
Example
Suppose you used 25,000 KWH and had a maximum load of 200 KVA.
- You would take 200 KVA and multiply it by $10.40, which would be $2080.00.
- You would hten take the 25,000 KWH and multiply it by $0.016540, which is $413.50.
- Your base cost would be the total of these charges plus sales tax, which would be $2,618.18.
Tracker
In addition to the base rate charge there is arate adjustment based upon the cost of purchased power. This
can be a positive or negative figure. Because this changes every three months, it is not used in the example.
