How to Figure the General Service Three Phase Rate

Base Rate

Customer Charge:                   $22.00
Energy Charge:
  The First 2000 KWH           $0.06903
  The Next 3000 KWH           $0.06395
  The Next 5000 KWH           $0.05939
  All Above 10,000 KWH       $0.05360

Example

Suppose you used 14000 KWH.

  1. Your bill would start with the $22.00 customer charge.
  2. Your first 2000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.06903, which would be $138.06.
  3. Your next 3000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.06395, which would be $191.85.
  4. Your next 5000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.05939, which would be $296.95.
  5. All above 10,000 KWH would be muliplied by $0.05360, which would be $214.40
  6. You base cost would be the total of these charges plus sales tax, which is $906.42.

Tracker
