How to Figure the General Service Single Phase Rate
Base Rate
Customer Charge:
$7.10
Energy Charge:
The First 1000 KWH $0.05983
The Next 2500 KWH $0.05260
All Above 3500 KWH $0.04867
Example
Suppose you used 8000 KWH.
- Your bill would start with the $7.10 customer charge.
- Your first 1000 KWH would be multiplied by $0.05983, which would be $59.83.
- Your next 2500 KWH would be multiplied by $0.05260, which would be $131.50.
- All above 3500 KWH would be multiplied by $0.04867, which would be $219.02.
- You base cost would be the total of these charges plus sales tax, which is $438.32.
